I don't understand how this is happening, but it's happened atleast 3 times now. To keep it simple I'll let you know the car does have an unresolved overheating at idle issue even after replacing every part of the system, some parts 2x over.Every possible part or test has been replaced/done to resolve the overheating issue, but I still have no definte answer. Lately, when my car has been sitting in the garage for a week or so, it will develop small coolant leaks here and there. Usual leak spots are the air bleeder cap on the top of the radiator and the lower radiator hose where it attaches to the radiator. I tighten up the leaks and they seem to stop but not completely.
This is the part I don't understand, after fixing the leaks I'll remove the radiator cap and coolant will expolde everywhere. This is after the car has been sitting and not started for weeks or more. I can't say forsure if the system is under pressure or vacuum? It's hard to say with what I've seen so far. After removing the cap, the coolant is at the very top of the radiator neck. Any ideas on this one? I tried searching for hours and found one person having this problem back in 2004? but there was no clear resolution.
